Casey T. Taft, PhD

Dr. Taft is a clinical psychologist at the Behavioral Sciences Division of the National Center for PTSD in the VA Boston Healthcare System, and is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Taft has recently been named the 2006 Chaim Danieli Young Professional Award winner from the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. His primary research areas involve PTSD and family problems among the military veteran population. He has conducted funded research examining the characteristics of partner violent men, pathways explaining the association between PTSD and intimate relationship aggression, factors associated with treatment compliance and outcome, and family-based interventions intended to promote the health and well-being of active duty soldiers and their families.
