Jeremiah A. Schumm, PhD

Dr. Schumm is Instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School at the VA Boston Healthcare System. He is also Project Director in the Harvard Family and Addictions Program on a randomized clinical trial investigating the efficacy of adding Behavioral Couples Therapy to individually-based therapy for women with alcohol dependence. Dr. Schumm’s primary interests include understanding the role of psychosocial resources in promoting recovery from trauma-related and substance use disorders. His secondary interests include understanding the impact of interpersonal revictimization, particularly among women, and researching treatments for co-occurring trauma-related and substance use disorders.
