Christopher Murphy, PhD
Dr.
Murphy is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore
County. He also serves as the Director of the New Behaviors Program at the Domestic
Violence Center of Howard County, Maryland, a comprehensive clinical research,
training, and service program focused on perpetrators of intimate partner abuse.
Dr. Murphy's research examines the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral and motivational
therapies for partner abusive individuals, the interface of substance abuse
and partner violence, and emotional abuse in intimate adult relationships.
