"Survival Analysis: From Log-Rank Test to Cox Proportional Hazards Regression"
This presentation will cover many
areas of survival analysis. Starting with the type of problems that can be addressed
using survival analysis, censored outcomes, and simple comparisons of survival
curves. It will proceed into more complex analysis using Cox proportional hazards
regression to estimate hazards ratios and adjust for other covariates of interest.
Within the Cox regression model, the concept of time dependent covariates will
be discussed. Graphical methods to display survival curves will also be presented.
Examples given in this talk will come from psychiatric research.
