Maria Llabre, PhD
Maria M. Llabre, PhD is Professor of Psychology and Director of Biobehavioral Statistics at the Behavioral Medicine Research Center, University of Miami. She teaches graduate level courses in multiple regression and structural equation modeling and supervises the data management and statistical analyses of several NIH funded projects. Her work involves the application of structural models and latent growth models to the analysis of problems in behavioral medicine, including measurement of cardiovascular stress reactivity. She recently received funding from NIMH to analyze a model of the long-term psychological and health effects of war-related trauma in Kuwait children. She is currently Statistical Editor of the journal Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Llabre’s training is in educational research methodology. She received her PhD from the educational research program at the University of Florida and did her dissertation work on generalizability theory.
